Anna Newbury received her bachelor of fine arts in theatre performance from Central Washington University in 2010.  

      She has a passion for classical literature and has pursued physical training in Suzuki, Viewpoints, Rasa Boxes, Michael Chekhov, and Stage Combat.  She has spent the last three summers training intensively in Viewpoints and Suzuki with SITI Company.

     Upon graduation she did a national tour with Missoula Children's Theatre as an actor and director.  Following tour, she attended the 2011 National Stage Combat Workshop, which marked the beginning of a journey that has lead her to become an advanced actor combatant certified through the Society of American Fight Directors. 

     Her love for the physical art of stage combat was created out of her life long, dual experience in dance and colorguard which is a mix of various dance genres and uses pieces of equipment such  as flag as an extension of the body.   

​     In the field of colorguard, Anna is a specialist.   She is a highly sought after choreographer and is currently using this unique skill set to serve as the Caption Head for the her third year with the newly reformed Columbians Drum and Bugle Corps. 

     Throughout her whole life she has thrived off of her passion for art, she is thrilled to be on this adventure and cherishing every moment.
