Professor of Theatre and Humanities

Mark is an actor, director, teacher and fight director who currently lives and works in central Florida. While doing graduate work at Brandeis University he attended the 1988 National Stage Combat Workshop in Memphis, TN. Finishing at Brandeis where he studied combat with Drew Fracher, David Woolley and David Leong he went to work at the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire. At PRF he continued working with David Leong and spent several years working with Chris Villa and Payson Burt creating fun and safe action oriented entertainment. During the four seasons working at PRF he also participated in the successful combat training program that held certification testing for dozens of actors. Since that time, along with freelance work, Mark has worked several jobs including Show Director at Universal, Orlando where he was on the Entertainment team that opened the Islands of Adventure theme park, General Manager of Theatre Winter Haven, and currently teaches theatre and humanities at Polk State College.
