Tiza is an Assistant Professor of Theatre at the University of Florida.  Before moving to Florida Tiza taught movement and acting courses at the University of Alabama.  Additionally, she has taught stage combat and movemet at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival,  the University of Miami, Florida, and Barry University. Tiza has taught various movement and stage combat workshops at universities across the country including Trinity University in Texas, Michigan State University, Western Michigan University, Georgia College and State University, and Rhodes College in Memphis, TN., in addition to workshops at state theatre conferences and at the Southeastern Theatre Conference. 

A classically trained actor, Tiza has found supplemental training in Grotowski based work, she has studied Meyerhold's Biomechanics with Ganadi Bogdanov, trained with the United Stuntmen's Association in Seattle, Washington, and experimented with aerial techniques with Frequent Flyers in Boulder, CO.  Tiza earned her MFA in Theatre at Virginia Commonwealth University.
