T. Fulton Burns is a dynamic educator, performer, director, and choreographer whose career is rooted in the transformative power of storytelling and artistic collaboration. A proud member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, Fulton has brought compelling narratives to life across stage and screen, working alongside visionary artists such as Moisés Kaufman, performing with the groundbreaking Living Theatre, dancing with Charleston Ballet Theater and Greenville Ballet, and contributing to Cirque du Soleil’s acclaimed production Quidam.
Fulton earned his B.A. in Theatre Performance with a minor in Dance from Winthrop University and holds an M.F.A. in Stage Direction from Western Illinois University, where he refined his skills in both performance and theatrical leadership. His professional journey is enriched by a wide range of movement and performance disciplines: he is a Registered Yoga Teacher (200 E-RYT, 500 E-RYT), a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider, a certified instructor of the Expressive Actor Technique, an associate instructor with Dueling Arts International (2009-25), and a certified teacher with both the Society of American Fight Directors and the National Michael Chekhov Association.
His commitment to leadership and excellence extends beyond the stage. Fulton has pursued advanced training with Harvard University, Marshall University, the Disney Institute, and Ritz-Carlton, integrating insights from world-class organizations into his teaching, directing, and mentorship. These experiences inform his holistic approach to education - one that nurtures creativity, professionalism, and confidence in emerging artists.
Through his teaching, directing, and choreography, Fulton strives to inspire performers to explore their full creative potential. He blends rigorous technique with embodied expression and bold storytelling, creating spaces where artistry and authenticity flourish. Whether in rehearsal, on stage, or in the studio, Fulton is dedicated to cultivating the joy of performance and empowering others to find their voice through the arts.
