J. Tyler Jones has been a member of the SAFD since 2008. Born in Atlanta, he received his first combat training at the Florida State University School of Theatre. He relocated to Southern California in 2010 where he spent almost a decade working as an actor, teacher, and fight choreographer. In 2019 Tyler relocated to the Washington, DC area where he earned his MFA through STC's Academy for Classical Acting at George Washington University. He is proficient in the use of all eight weapons recognized by the SAFD.
