Dr. Robin McFarquhar is Professor and Chair of Acting at the University of Illinois, Urbana - Champaign. He has choreographed at major theatres throughout the country including The Guthrie (MN), The Shakespeare Theatre (DC), The Old Globe (CA), South Coast Rep (CA), Long Wharf (CT), Steppenwolf (IL), The Goodman Theatre (IL), Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Court Theatre (IL), Writer's Theatre (IL), and the Idaho, Illinois, Utah and Virginia Shakespeare Festivals. His work has also been seen on Broadway in "One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest" with Gary Sinise, (2001 Tony Award for Best Revival), and "Julius Caesar" with Denzel Washington, on tours to Japan, England, Cyprus and Hungary and the National Tour of "The Color Purple." He has received two Jeff Award Nominations (Chicago) for Fight Choreography, and a Helen Hayes Nomination for Best Choreography. He is also an accredited teacher of the Alexander Technique, AmSAT.
