Jess Prichard is an American actor with a Master in Fine Arts degree in classical acting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He studied at the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts. Jess holds certificates in actor training from Moscow Art School Theatre and Portland Actors Conservatory. He is a proud member of the Actors Equity Association (AEA) and has worked with regional theatres throughout the US including Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, the Great River Shakespeare Festival, Artists Repertory Theatre, Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre  and Riverside Theatre among others. Jess was a touring company member of the Jacques Lecoq based mask theatre company, Imago Theatre. He has studied with various clowning teachers and has worked as a professional clown and street performer. Jess is a certified Alexander Technique teacher with the American Society for the Alexander Technique (AmSAT) and maintains a private practice teaching the technique and Yoga. He is a member of the Society of American Fight Directors (SAFD) and certified in multiple weapons. Jess is a member of American Theatre Movement Educators (ATME) and is a certified Personal Trainer (CPT) with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). Jess has taught acting at universities and colleges in North America and Asia. Institutions include the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Lehman College, The Art College of Inner Mongolia University-China, Coe College, Cornell College, St. Ambrose University, Portland Actors Conservatory, California State University, Los Angeles and in educational outreach programs for several American regional theatre companies. Jess was born in Los Angeles, California. He holds a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Psychology from Lewis & Clark College. Outside of acting and teaching, Jess enjoys backpacking, fly fishing and finish carpentry. Jess has fight captained and fought in the combat sequences of SAFD certified Teachers and Directors Jason Tipsword, Robin McFarquhar, Jack Young and Zev Steinberg. He was adjudicated in four weapons by Fight Master Dave Wooley.
