Brent is a Performing Artist and Fitness Professional, originally from Pittsburgh, PA. He received his bachelor's in Theatrical Production from California State University, San Bernardino and an MFA in Acting from The New School for Drama in New York City.
As a multi-hyphenate creative director, teaching artist, and performer with special expertise in areas of combat, intimacy, immersive experiences involving VR/AR, devised work, and film, he has over 20 years of experience in independent and featured productions.
He works as a Teaching Artist for New York Theatre Workshop and is a Stage Combat Teaching Assistant at NYU and Brooklyn College. As an Intimacy Director, he has worked on productions, Reflections of a Shadow, 16000 PSI, Hello Again, The Lover, First Love, and Adam and Brian. An Advanced Actor/Combatant with the SAFD, he was Fight Director for productions, Franklinland, Temporada de ciervos, Bloom, She Kills Monsters, The Sporting Life of Icarus Jones, Deathwatch, Drunk Enough to Say I Love You, Void, Convention, Trees in Their Youth, and The Found Dog Ribbon Dance.
As a certified instructor serving the greater New York area he has earned his 200-hour YogaWorks Teacher Certification along with certifications in Lagree Fitness Method and ACE Personal Training and Group Exercise Instruction. He has built a network fostering online and in-person trainer/client relationships while designing individual and group exercise formats including, Kickboxing, Trampoline fitness, Pilates Megaformer, and Functional Strength Weight Lifting.
